Venturi Exhaust Gas Treatment Scrubber

Waste Gas Treatment Equipment

Venturi Exhaust Gas Treatment Scrubber

Venturi Exhaust Gas Treatment Scrubber, is a wet dust removal device consisting of a Venturi tube condenser and a mist eliminator (or gas-liquid separator). It uses the Venturi effect (i.e., the gas speed increases and the pressure decreases when passing through a contracting pipe, and the speed decreases and the pressure increases when passing through an expanding pipe) to fully mix the dust-laden gas with the scrubbing liquid (usually water) under the impact of high-speed airflow to achieve dust capture and purification.

    Product Features

Simple and compact structure: Venturi scrubber is small in size, occupies little space, has a relatively simple structure, and is easy to manufacture and maintain.

High dust removal efficiency: Venturi scrubber has a high purification efficiency for fine dust and high-temperature gas, and is particularly suitable for cooling and dust removal of high-temperature flue gas.

Versatility: It can not only purify solid particulate pollutants in exhaust gas, but also remove gaseous pollutants (such as sulfur dioxide, hydrogen chloride, etc.), while playing a role in gas cooling.

Wide range of application: It is suitable for purifying various types of non-fibrous dust that does not react chemically with water and does not adhere to the phenomenon, especially suitable for purifying high-temperature, flammable, explosive and harmful gases.

Economical and practical: Low equipment investment, low operating cost, suitable for large-scale promotion and application.

    Working Principle of Venturi scrubber

The dust removal process of the Venturi scrubber mainly includes three stages: atomization, condensation and separation dust removal.

Atomization process: The dust-laden gas enters the contraction section of the Venturi tube, and the flow rate gradually increases, reaching the maximum value when it reaches the throat. At this time, the scrubbing liquid is sprayed in through the nozzles evenly distributed around the throat, and the droplets are further atomized into finer droplets under the impact of the high-speed airflow.

Condensation process: In the throat, the gas and liquid phases are fully mixed, and the dust particles collide with the water droplets and settle. As the airflow enters the expansion section, the flow rate decreases, the static pressure gradually increases, and the water droplets and dust particles further condense into larger dust-laden water droplets.

Separation dust removal process: The gas then enters the demister (or gas-liquid separator) to achieve gas-liquid separation. The purified gas is discharged from the top of the demister, and the dust-laden wastewater is discharged to the sedimentation tank for further treatment.

    Application of Venturi scrubber

Venturi scrubbers are widely used in many fields, including flue gas purification in metallurgy, chemical industry, power industry and other industries. For example, the flue gas generated in iron-making blast furnaces, steel-making electric furnaces and non-ferrous smelting processes can be efficiently purified by Venturi scrubbers. In addition, in the field of environmental protection, Venturi scrubbers are also used in automobile exhaust treatment, flue gas desulfurization and denitrification, etc., effectively reducing the emission of atmospheric pollutants.
