Sulfuric acid plants Wet Electrostatic Precipitators WESP for air pollution control system

Wet electrostatic precipitator is a device that achieves efficient dust removal through electrostatic action combined with wet cleaning mechanism. Similar to dry electrostatic precipitator, WESP also relies on high-voltage corona discharge to charge dust, and then under the action of electric field force, the charged dust is attracted to the dust collecting electrode. However, in terms of cleaning method, WESP adopts a more unique wet cleaning method, that is, a conductive film is formed on the surface of the dust collecting electrode by spraying or overflowing water, so that the deposited dust is washed away by the water flow.

    product detail

    Wet Electrostatic Precipitators is an efficient and economical dust removal equipment, mainly used to remove fine dust particles in flue gas, including PM2.5, SO3 acid mist, aerosol and other harmful substances. As the final stage of dust removal equipment, WESP is particularly widely used in industrial fields such as power plants and steel mills.

    Advantages of Wet Electrostatic Precipitators
    High-efficiency dust removal:  Wet Electrostatic Precipitators can efficiently remove high-concentration particulate matter, even some fine particulate matter. Its filtration efficiency can reach more than 98%, and it also has a high dust removal efficiency for dust particles with a diameter of less than 5 microns.

    Treatment of chemical pollutants: Wet Electrostatic Precipitators can not only remove dust, but also treat chemical pollutants such as acids, alkalis, and fluorides. Prepare absorbents in the washing liquid to absorb harmful gases such as sulfur dioxide and hydrochloric acid mist.

    Reducing the risk of fire and explosion: Compared with dry dust collectors, Wet Electrostatic Precipitators  are less likely to cause fire and explosion during operation and have higher safety. It can effectively handle high-temperature and high-humidity airflows, minimizing the possibility of fire and explosion.

    Environmental protection and energy saving: The wastewater generated during the operation of the Wet Electrostatic Precipitators can be discharged or reused after treatment to reduce pollution to the environment. At the same time, its structure is compact, occupies a small area, and consumes relatively little water.

    Wet electrostatic precipitators have a simple and efficient working principle. It makes the dust-containing gas in close contact with the liquid (generally water), and uses the inertial collision of water droplets and particles or the full mixing of water and dust to enlarge the dust particles or keep them in a fixed container to achieve the effect of separating water and dust. Specifically,  Wet electrostatic precipitators is equipped with structures such as air inlet, cyclone, spray device and dust removal pool. The gas containing dust particles first enters the cyclone, and the high-speed airflow generated by the vortex makes the dust particles and liquid water reach a better contact state. Subsequently, the water mist sprayed by the spray device or the water film injected by the water injector makes the dust particles and water molecules thoroughly mixed and contacted, and finally settle into the dust removal pool.

    Wet electrostatic precipitators are widely used in industrial production.
    It is suitable for treating dust particles such as flue gas and slag in the steel production process;
    Removing dust and fine particles generated in the production process in printing, pulp, food, pharmaceutical and other industries;
    Removing sulfuric acid and other chemicals and harmful gases deposited in the flue gas during chemical production;
    It is also used to treat thermal power generation flue gas and desulfurization and denitrification tail gas in the power industry;
    In the cement industry, it controls dust generated in clinker rotary kiln and cement dry production process.
