310S Stainless Steel Welded Pipes
product detail
Feature:
Welded 310S stainless steel pipe is used in various industries where high temperature strength and better corrosion resistance is needed.
There are many available welded pipe sizes and weights to choose from. The chart includes welded pipe sizes, with the outside diameter (O.D.) and pipe schedules to assist in your selection and help guide you to our in-stock pipe at Xinchangyuan company.
310S duplex has a microstructure that contains both austenitic and ferritic phases and excellent combination of strength and corrosion resistance. In the annealed condition, it has twice the strength of a typical austenitic stainless. Used in oil and pas, pumps and pump parts, valves and chemical and paper manufacturing.
The typical production process should be: strip raw material → raw material pretreatment → cold bending forming → welding → weld heat treatment → weld (tube body) flaw detection → finishing → finished welded pipe
310S Stainless steel welded pipe is manufactured by rolling stainless steel plate on a machine then welding the seam. A scarfing blade then removes the weld flash from the inside and outside of the pipe. Many processes heat treat the welding zone to make the seam less visible and provides a more complete finish to the pipe. With today's stainless steel pipe making technology, welded pipe most often has tighter dimensional tolerances than seamless pipe. Using seamless stainless steel pipe or welded stainless steel pipe depends on tolerances, wall thickness and diameter ratio. With this in mind, seamless pipe is more expensive than welded pipe.
Application:
Below you’ll find some of the most popular applications for 310S stainless steel weld pipe.
- Water and Gas Transport
310S stainless steel weld pipe is excellent for transporting water, other fluids, and natural gas. Its affordable price makes it ideal for large-scale projects.
- Pipe Casing
When drilled shafts are constructed, pipe casing (whether temporary or permanent) is needed, and welded steel pipe can be used for this purpose. When used as pipe casing, welded steel pipe adds support to a hole while construction in progress.
- Bearing Piles
310S stainless steel weld pipe can be driven into the ground to help support and carry loads from big, heavy structures. When used as bearing piles, welded steel pipe may also be filled with concrete to boost strength.
- Underground Utilities
Bored and jacked welded steel pipe can be used to assist when underground utilities are installed. When employed this way, hydraulic jacks drive sections of steel pipe between excavations, which are then conjoined with other sections of spliced pipe. Once the desired pipe structure is created, it is cleared and cleaned out to allow for a safe area for utility work.
- Structural Sections
310S stainless steel weld pipe can be used to create large, open structures, including cofferdams. When used this way, it can offer an equal degree of bending resistance in every direction, which enables it to be resistant to buckling, even when substantially heavy loads are needing support across considerable lengths.
These are a few of the primary applications in which you might find welded steel pipe employed. In terms of cost-effectiveness and overall efficiency, welded steel pipe is a solid and dependable choice!
